About us
Hi! My name is Deianira Torres-Soto (Mrs. Dei), and I'm the owner and director of Playful Cubs Academy. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where I lived until the winter of 2003 when I got married and move to Buffalo, NY. In the summer of 2009 we relocated and settled in Charlotte, NC. Living in the United States has provided me with opportunities to grow and develop, both in my personal and professional life. I am a dedicated and accomplished day care center teacher and administrator with almost 20 years of experience and a BS in Early Childhood Education.
As a well-rounded educator, I had the chance to teach and work with a diverse group of students. I have gained in-depth knowledge of accommodating different styles of learners and incorporating effective methods to meet the student's needs. I'm also bilingual (Spanish-English).
I'm a proud mom of two beautiful kids AJ & Joey. I love spending time with my family, traveling, photography, painting and drawing.

​Our Staff

Our Teacher and Assistants hold degrees in early childhood education, related fields and have the experience. Our staff use unique lesson plans to engage children in the learning process. We require our staff to complete a series of training, also been CPR/First Aid Certified
